1. Roles Under Data Protection Law

We act as an independent Data Controller for the business contact and partner information that we discover from publicly available and third-party sources and make available to our customers ("Service Data"), and for data about you as a user (for example, your account information and usage data). Section 4 sets out our lawful basis for this, and Section 9 explains how anyone who appears in Service Data can exercise their rights.

When you use Service Data, for example to contact a partner, you act as an independent Data Controller for that use. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with data protection and marketing laws, including having a lawful basis for processing.

For data you or your team submit to the platform, such as imported partner lists, notes, pipeline stages, and team member details, you are the Data Controller and we act as a Data Processor on your behalf, processing it only according to your instructions through the platform's features.

• Features used and actions taken within the service
• Partner Match consumption and transaction history

• IP address and approximate location

2.5 Billing and Payment Data

For paid users, we collect payment information through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

• Providing and maintaining the Service
• Discovering and recommending relevant partners for your brand
• Enriching contact information through third-party services
• Processing transactions and managing Partner Matches
• Sending service-related communications
• Improving and optimising the Service
• Detecting and preventing fraud or abuse

4. Lawful Bases for Processing

We rely on the following lawful bases for processing your personal data:

• Contractual necessity: Processing required to provide the Service you have requested
• Legitimate interests: Improving our Service, security, and fraud prevention; and, for Service Data, discovering and making available business contact details of people in professional roles at publishers, creators, and other potential partners, so that our customers can propose business partnerships. We only collect business contact details that are publicly available or obtained from providers who are entitled to supply them, we limit the data to what is relevant to a business role, and we have assessed that this does not override the interests or rights of the people concerned.
• Legal obligations: Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Consent: Where you have given specific consent for processing (e.g., marketing communications)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, with servers located in the European Union. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Row-level security policies for data access control
• Regular security audits and updates
• Secure authentication mechanisms

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide our functionality:

• Supabase: Database hosting and authentication
• Hunter.io: Email enrichment and verification
• Google: OAuth authentication (optional)
• Stripe: Payment processing

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing data usage. We ensure appropriate data processing agreements are in place with our sub-processors.

7. International Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers may process data outside of the UK or European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK or EU
• Transfers to countries with adequate data protection laws

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Some data may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes.

If you appear in Service Data (for example, as a contact at a publisher, creator, or partner business), these rights apply to you too. You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or remove you from the Service, and we will act on that request across all customers within one month. For data that a customer has submitted to the Service, where we act as a Data Processor, we may need to refer you to that customer or assist them in responding to your request.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site, which sets analytics cookies. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
